We are involved in “Maintenance Project” to create a new sewage system, “Renovation Project” to measure against aging of facilities that have been a problem in recent years. “Anti-Inundation Measure Project” and “Earthquake Countermeasure Project” will protect people’s safety from natural disasters (ex. guerrilla-type heavy rain and earthquakes), “Management Strategy Project” and “Public-Private Collaboration Project” to maintain and improve sewage management, as well as “Sewage Energy Project” to utilize sewage resources effectively.

There seems to be no end to problems with sewage project due to eliminations of flooded area, countermeasures in non-supply areas, and social environment that changes rapidly like the falling birthrate and the aging population. In order to solve these problems, we consider sustainable sewage infrastructure and do our best to help from the basic concept to the business plan for efficient sewage service.

Since our company was established, we have been engaged in the practical design of sewage pipe tunnels. We have abundant achievements of various construction methods such as “cut and cover tunneling method”, “pipe jacking method” and “shield construction method”. Based on our experiences, we make implementation plans tailored to local conditions.

The length of the sewage pipe that is buried nationwide is about 470,000km and the stock of the facilities are increasing. In recent years, approximately 3,300 distraction accidents also have occurred annually due to aging of pipeline facilities. In recent years, due to climate changes caused by global warming, there has been an increase in concentrated torrential rain exceeding 50mm of rainfall per hour and flood damage frequently occurs. When proceeding with the rainwater maintenance, it takes cost and time to achieve a sure effect. In order to minimize flood damage, we extract the problems of current drainage facilities and propose maintenance plans utilizing the existing facilities with a very high investment effect.

Although the earthquake resistance standards were reviewed after The Great Hanshin Earthquake, the earthquake resistance of sewage infrastructure has been proceeding, but the earthquake resisting of the facilities before the earthquake has not progressed sufficiently. We conduct earthquake resistance diagnosis and propose a planning/reinforcement method of sewage structures which are strong against earthquake from our experience, such as a disaster prevention plan and a disaster mitigation plan to secure minimum function even if disaster occurs.

In recent years, the number of municipalities that are entering the transition period from the construction phase to the maintenance management phase and the renewal period of facilities is increasing in relation to sewage projects. In order to stably provide sewage services in the future, efforts toward management reconstruction are required. First, we can begin to analyze fixed asset information and financial statements, and implement appropriate measures. As a result of this, the first step towards management reconstruction can begin. We help our clients take the first step.

In recent years, it is expected to increase management cost and reconstruction renewal cost for existing stocks and reduce sewage service fees due to population decline while in a severe financial condition. For pump station/sewage treatment plant planning, we form “Stock Management Plan” to extend the life of the existing facilities’ functions, “Earthquake Resistance Diagnosis/Reinforcement Design” to prevent collapse of structures due to large-scale earthquakes, and “Basic/Detailed Design” to rebuild aging facilities/equipment (civil engineering, construction, machinery and electricity) .
