Water Supply

The service coverage ratio of the water supply system in Japan is 97.9% as of the end of 2016 and it became indispensable lifeline. However, flexible response is required for the major changes in the environment surrounding the water supply business, such as water supplied population/water supply quantity, a decrease in water sales revenue, and an increase in replacement demand of water supply facilities. We are engaged in consulting services for water supply in general, from survey planning, designing to construction supervision related to water supply in order to be robust against natural disasters, such as earthquakes, provide safe and delicious water, and respond to the sustained long-term stable business.

We propose plans that we have designed and examined from various perspectives such as current situation analysis and prediction of replacement demand, in order to continue to supply inexpensive, but safe and delicious water in the future while the use of water saving equipment spreads widely, decreases water demand due to falling birthrate and aging population, and decreases water sales revenue.

We propose a renewal plan to sustain stable management over the medium to long term by evaluating the soundness degree of the facilities that introduced the Asset Management and also setting replacement priorities, in order to respond to increased demand for replacement in the future as the facilities developed in expansion projects during the high economic growth period.

In many facilities, the deviation is getting bigger between the planning data of the existing facilities’ design (ex. “water intake plant”, “water conduit”, “water purification plant”, “pump station” and “water distribution pond”) and the actual value of the current situation. In facilities design for water supply, we propose the basic/detailed design of economical and efficient facilities based on the review of the planned value. Also, in order to extend the life of existing facilities, we perform earthquake resistance diagnosis, reinforcement design, and basic/detailed design to rebuild/renew aged facilities/equipment (civil engineering, construction, machinery and electricity ).

Earthquake Resistance Plan for Water Supply

We perform earthquake resistance diagnosis of active facilities and set priorities for earthquake resistance in order to build a strong water supply in the new vision. We propose a plan to implement earthquake resistance in the facilities to minimize damage in the event of disaster and the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) from the beginning of a disaster on into recovery.

We conduct consistent detailed design from survey, design and integration related to pipe laying combined with water pipe bridge, to shield/pipe jacking methods from water conduit pipe/water distributing pipe to water supply pipe for water supply and industrial water service.

“ASSYS” Information Management System for Water Supply

We provide a system called “ASSYS” for easy and efficient unified management of water pipeline information. In addition, we can use this system to calculate replacement demand via asset management and use it for various planning data.
